Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Proper Block Tag Support

This is long overdue. With a mix of resource packs and datapacks, it should be possible to add custom blockstates to a block or even just tags for blocks. With all the stuff you guys are adding for datapack creators, this is like the natural next step

    Also nah I don't want vertical slabs just better custom block support. Like nonfull blocks, transparent blocks, etc

    Specifically right now I was making a pineapple and thought "What if this wasn't almost impossible to make?" I mean, we have custom biomes and dimensions so why not custom blocks for them?

     

    Imagine if you could add a tag to blocks to give them a new texture. Like... This example. Let's say I want to turn petrified oak slabs into a pineapple. Imagine if I could set a pineapple tag to true and then bam new texture assigned
