Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Tabards

Tabards would be a great way to spice up your appearance in Minecraft! The tabard could be used by players trying to distinguish themselves from everyone else, or show that they are part of group. The tabards could be decorated like a shield; you put the blank tabard with the banner, and then your banner will have the same pattern as the banner.
While the tabards might not grant any armor, they would be an easy to craft and decorative piece of clothing that you can wear at any time. They would get their own little item slot and would be shown over the armor of a player. The tabards would be fairly long, going from the shoulder areas of a player to just below their knees.
The crafting recipe would be simple, maybe some wool and a piece of leather. (It could be the shield recipe except the wooden planks are wool and the iron ingot in a piece of leather)

    Tabards have a ton of historical background, because they ran into the same issue as Minecraft. How do you distinguish one and another when you look exactly the same? It became a culture and if you didn’t decorate your armor in some way it just wouldn’t look complete.

     

    This would be a good addition, it does get tiring to see the same thing over and over.
