Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Obsidian Update (part 3 of 3)

3 | Potions

  • Potion of Lava Essence (alternate name: Potion of Lava Affinity)
  • Gives “Lava Affinity” to players which lets them swim, move quickly, and see through lava, as well as collecting nearby items before they burn up (allows for mining ores that are submerged in lava)
  • Does NOT grant fire resistance to prevent Overpowered, but it can be combined with drinking Potion of Fire Resistance for optimal effects
  • Brewing recipe: could be made using a block of crying obsidian + awkward potion. Also, perhaps obsidian ingots could be used instead (see Part 2 of this post). Or, a new item could be added, called "Obsidian Tears." It would be rarely dropped from crying obsidian that has air underneath, and even then would only last a short time before the item despawned. This could be another option for the potion recipe.
  • Like other potions, it could be brewed with redstone dust for an 8-minute version, and it would also have its own splash potion, lingering potion, and tipped arrow variants.
