(Bedrock) voice chat

Add a voice chat that depends on how close the player is to you + you can turn it off and on in the worlds and change the distance of the voice broadcast using the command.

 

team /voice chat (Username) 1 - 60 [Blocks]
In the settings, you can turn off the voice chat for certain players or turn it off for everyone and give it only to the administrator and his friends
You can also make the walkie-talkie mode by holding the button

can be disabled as coordinates, that is, in the world settings

    I think this is a good idea, because for example, there are some servers where the game of roleplay is used, and it will be much easier and bring players closer together, and in general it will be more interesting.

    Да, было бы неплохо. Но если вы играете с другом в одном мире есть Дискород и все.

    adding voice chat on bedrock is a really big ease during the gameplay, it is really challenging to type in the chat replying to the other members using just a controller on xbox especially when you are focused on build or doing some mining. I would really like to have this feature on bedrock. please please please.

    I do wish for this to be added to the game, it just would make it more exciting seeing that most of us use discord to talk and if we need to ask something, we just do it no matter how far apart I game we are, but this would encourage more traveling and visiting 😀!

    Proximity chat or normal chat where u could be anywhere but u can change it in settings to either one

    So... I think it's safe to say Proximity chat mods for Minecraft Java and Among Us over the past 12-24 months has been a rip-roaring success to say the least. The Hermitcraft server has just gotten so much livelier with people able to just start chatting whenever they encounter each other. Used to be they'd go, "oh hey that's so and so over there I wonder what they're doing" and just keep going. Now they'll actually wonder over and go, hey what are you doing, or in some cases sneak up on them and creepily look over their shoulder before speaking... hehehehe.

    Now the counter, like it or not, bedrock edition is very clearly targeted at the under 18 demographic, especially realms. Thus voice chat is going to need to be an opt in feature, both for the servers and the users, and it will have to run through Xbox services in order for control to be maintained, especially if you want to see this available on private servers (I sure as heck do). That means, lots of dev work for the Xbox services team as well as Mojang. But... with 700+ votes at time of writing... my bet is, someone, somewhere is working on this, but it's going to take at least 6 months before it's ready for testing let alone ready to roll out to the public.

    That being said, Minecraft isn't the only game in the "Xbox" ecosystem that would benefit from proximity chat so maybe that side of things has been in progress for awhile and they're just waiting for game devs to implement it.

    Makes a lot of sense for Bedrock I think. Legacy Edition had something similar where you could talk to people in your world through voice chat, except it wasn't proximity. There's a big opportunity here for a great (re)addition to the game. Especially for Realms.

    The devs could also make so you make "groups" with your in game friends and then on public servers and worlds you could only hear the vice versa

    I second this extremely! Voice Chat/GameChat is an key element in cross-play gaming. I myself is an PS4 player but it has became too difficult to play cross-play on Minecraft without the feature. I am hoping desperately that Voice Chat/Game Chat will be added soon or in the future.

    This would be AWESOME, and I think could really liven up the multiplayer survival experience!
