If the new update is going to take a lot of time, then you should take that time. It is a very poor decision to pump out half-baked content because it will lose its punch by the time the rest of the update catches up. Imagine if in 1.16, only half of the nether biomes were released, and then half a year later, the other half came out. It would make no sense! People would already be used to the same old same old of the new nether, and the next wave of additions would feel meaningless and not have nearly the same impact. I feel like one of the best things about Minecraft is the charm of exploration and the possibilities of the unknown, and splitting the cave update will ruin that.
I feel like it is too common nowadays to see games be released before they're ready and have a terrible reception because of it... Please don't let that happen to Minecraft!
