Pirate patch (not just aesthetic)

This would be an object that would not only be aesthetic if it did not help to see in the dark. This is because pirates used the patches not only to hide an evil in one eye, but also to change from light to dark without waiting for their eyes to adjust to the dark. Returning to Minecraft this object would only protect the same as a leather helmet, but if you go from an area with light to the dark you will have a night vision effect for about 8 or 5 minutes.
