The ability to make crying obsidian happy (normal obsidian)

Since the introduction of crying obsidian, I've been wondering two things. Why does crying obsidian sob so much and why can't we cheer it up? For a block that has a such a sad name I thought that a game mechanic should be introduced where crying obsidian can be converted into normal obsidian. How this might work is by placing a cake on top of the crying obsidian because let's be honest, cake makes most people happy doesn't it? :) An advancement/achievement could be achieved by the player by cheering up (converting) a certain number of crying obsidian blocks so that the player is rewarded after their kindness to a painfully depressed block. ^_^ Thanks for reading!
