2 | Enchantments
For these enchantments, a new item could possibly be introduced, Obsidian Ingot. The purpose of this item is NOT to craft obsidian/netherite gear; it is only for enchantments. It would be crafted with 5 obsidian and 4 lapis lazuli, arranged in a lattice on the crafting table grid (makes 1 ingot). To use it, players could combine weapons/armor with the ingot on a smithing table or anvil, or just enchant their gear the normal way on an enchanting table without ingots needed.
- Ender of Enders (I-III)
- Extra damage to End mobs (Endermen, Endermites, Ender Dragon, Phantoms, Shulkers)
- Prevents Endermen/Shulkers teleporting immediately after taking damage
- Rare enchantment and/or high XP cost to enchant
- Obsidian Walker/Lava Strider (I-II)
- Same as Frost Walker but for lava
- Creates obsidian underfoot that then "cracks" and turns into crying obsidian before disappearing
- This rare treasure enchantment is only found in Ruined Portal chests, or naturally spawned on Piglins (who can also use the enchantment). Even then, it never appears in book form and only on golden boots.
- Rarity and golden-boot limitation means it won't replace the Strider mob until very late in the game
