I think a good way to make Glow Squids more unique than just normal Squids is by giving them random sizes. Some Glow Squids may be smaller than normal, and others larger than normal. Perhaps an unusually large or small Glow Squid would be a rare find.
Their size could also affect other variables. For example, an extra large Glow Squid would have more health, and though it may take longer to propel itself, its propulsion distance would be much farther than a normal Glow Squid.
