Bigger fungus and growth of fungus

Firstly, I think that the fungus would grow much bigger then it is right now. Once I was in the nether and found a huge fungus stem, it would be interesting if more stems were like this because it would make the nether even more mystical. My next idea is about the growth of nether fungus. The fungus would have different stages in it's growth (3 stages). The first stage would just be the fungus onto of some type of netherrack. The second stage would be a small fungus and would just be one crimson/warped stem with a netherwart around it, it would all fit in a 3x3x3 area. The third stage would just be 2 blocks taller then the last. Finally, it would reach it's finally stage which would look like the normal fungus tree.
