Microsoft account rename feature

hi i play MC using a Microsoft/Xbox Live account, and i decided i was unhappy with my Username and wanted to change it, so i changed my Xbox Live account name but it didnt do anything so can you plz add a way to change my java edition name?

    same.... I also kinda wish I could get rid of the numbers in my name and keep it to just be Silcat instead of Silcat7794.

    search mojang account settings and there you can change names skins and passwords.
