2 x 2 raw ore block recipe

I would like for the raw ore block recipe to be 2x2 instead of 3x3.

My reasons for this are:

1. The player could compact his raw ores inside his inventory, without having to place a crafting table down

2. I love the textures, but since the blocks can only be made from raw ores this expensive block may be not viable for most projects.

3. It would explain why it couldn't be smelted into their respective pure ore blocks. That itself would be overpowered and consisting of less material could become the explaination for why it is impossible.

  Idk, I've seen a lot of people complaining that you would need a crafting table to craft them up but in my opinion a crafting table (or at the very least some wood) is a pretty crucial part of any mining expedition - I already bring one to craft up coal/redstone/diamonds etc. Not that I don't understand where people are coming from, I just think the space you'd save by crafting up the blocks more than makes up for a single slot taken up by a crafting table.
