Like Copper, all of the mineral blocks (Iron, Gold, Diamond, Emerald, Coal, Netherite, Redstone, Lapis, and even the new Raw Iron, Raw Gold, and Raw Copper) should be crafted with 4 minerals instead of 9. This allows you to craft all of them within your player inventory rather than requiring a crafting table. This, however, means that there is less mineral per block, which means that they would be indirectly balanced for this change. This would make the recipe for copper blocks synonymous to the recipes for other ores. This would solve a big inventory crisis when mining, since you will be able to craft compact versions of the block in a your 2x2 grid. Furthermore, this makes these blocks less expensive, opening up more avenues for builders who play survival.
