I don't think the only way to get the marketplace packs should be by buying Minecoins. All Microsoft is doing with this is trying to earn more money, when they already have enough money to buy every marketplace pack for every Minecraft player in the world. Microsoft can keep their in-app purchases, but at least you should get ten Minecoins every day you log in, with login streaks, and you would get at most thirty Minecoins a day from this. You would also get Minecoins for every achievement you get, from something like "taking inventory" being ten minecoins, and "cover me in debris" being three hundred. You could also regain an achievement every time you go into a new survival world and get it again, but to stop a player going through multiple worlds and getting the achievement over and over, getting an achievement again for more Minecoins would have a twelve-hour cooldown. All this would be a win-win for both Microsoft and the player, because Microsoft will get even more money; players will be more likely to tell their people about Minecraft if it has a reward system, so they will go buy it too, resulting in Microsoft getting more money. It will work for players too because now there will be an actual reward for achievements, and also there will be a fast and easy way to get Minecoins where you don't have to pay for it. Please, if Microsoft and Mojang want to show that they actually care about players having fun, they can prove it with this.
