One suggestion that I have is for the addition of magic weapons. I have always wanted to shoot Blaze fireballs or Guardian lasers... So I came up with this: The Blaze Staff and the Baby Guardian. These would give the abilities of their respective mobs to the player.
1: How to Obtain. These could be obtained through killing the mobs. Alternatively they could be made out of materials associated with the mob, such as blaze rods.
2: Interesting Features. These rare magic items would act like an elytra. They would not break once the durability reaches zero. Instead they would just no longer work. They must be charged with an anvil (or better yet a magic version of a smithing table) using experience.
3: How it Would Affect Gameplay. The Blaze Staff scares me because of its griefing capabilities. I really can't see much good coming out of it. The Baby Guardian would be able to lock on to nearby mobs and shoot them with a slow-charged laser beam.
