Create different rarities for items. Each rarity would have it's own color. The current system of rarity throughout the game is inconsistent and feels as if it was only partially worked on. It feels incomplete. Players would feel rewarded more when they see the colored text of a rare item. It would give items more value and meaning. In vanilla Minecraft default text is used for most items, yellow is used for enchanted books, cyan is used for a few items, and purple is barely used at all. Things like the Dragon Egg use the default text so technically they are Common? That's not right. In Minecraft dungeons Common is default text, Rare is Green (turquoise), and Unique is Orange. Not bad! I would recommend to make a system of rarities not just for Minecraft but the entire series! Common is White, aka default text. Rare is Turquoise. Epic is Purple. Unique/Legendary is Orange. I'm not recommending you add colored text to everything, only the items that are special in some way. Examples for each rarity. Common: Dirt, feathers, glass, basic items. Rare: Golden Apples. Blaze Rods. Nether Wart. Potions. Mob Heads. Epic would be for the high ends items that are truly hard to obtain. Enchanted Apples. Nether Stars. Dragons Breathe. Shulker Shells. Elytra. Unique/Legendary would be for one-of-a-kind, top level stuff like the Dragon Egg.
