Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

    This seems like a pretty interesting idea. Although it should probably only drop 1 charcoal when mined instead of 1-2.

    Zeffi Toto maybe but it is added processing, still kinda easy early game so yeah

    i think fortune is  big part of it though because axes and shovels really lack a reason to have it

    mjfan2004 Agreed. Adding Fortune into it is part of why I think 1 drop is appropriate though, since it would probably wind up dropping up to 16 at fortune 3 if it was a 1-2 base drop -- kind of like how redstone, lapis, and nether gold ore work (I think). I may be overly cautious, and It might not actually make that much of a difference.
    If they reduce charcoal from smelting 8 items to 6, we could keep the 1-2 drop and get an average of 9 per charred wood, which may be more balanced early-game in the sense of not making coal ore obsolete, though.
