Change the base color of the glass of Beacons

Beacons can have the beams of their colors changed from white to any of the colors by placing glass at any point directly above the beacon, but it will always start with a white beam as a base. Maybe you could have separate colored beacons with their base color changed, with the functionality to change them different?
The crafting table recipe could be one beacon + one colored glass, and/or the normal crafting recipe for the beacon but with the glass replaced with colored glass.
