This may be a solution to a problem with the bundles where you need to pick up the item first before you can put it in your bundle.
You hold the bundle then walk to the dropped items, then those items will be immediately put inside the bundle. If the bundle has no more space, it wouldn't pick up the items so instead, the items will be put in your inventory when you pick them up. This should work too when the bundle is in the off-hand slot.
Stackable items will always prioritize the held bundle over the inventory so if you have space in your inventory then you try to pick up an item while holding a bundle, the items will be put inside the bundle instead of the inventory even if it has an available slot.
If the player already has the same item say, a bone when a player happens to pick up another bone with a bundle, that bone will not go inside the bundle but instead, it will join the slot with bones in the inventory. If those bones are fully stacked, the picked-up bone will be put in the bundle.
Non-stackable items should always prioritize the inventory over the bundle. There's no point in having to put a non-stackable item in a bundle because it just takes up the whole slot so the game should know this.
Having to open your inventory just to put a dropped item in your bundle is a hassle. It can be annoying in some scenarios like having a full inventory. This mechanic will make putting items in bundles more seamless.
This is a more detailed suggestion compared to the other ones I saw.
