Essentially walls but wooden, ideally there is a variant with bark and a stripped one.
Benefits:
- New tree variants with thinner logs
- Tons of possibilities for building (ship masts, thinner horizontal wooden beams, thinner wooden walls, palisades, ... endless new ideas for building!)
To the idea "fences already do that":
With fences you cannot: do horizontal beams, walls or palisades.
For supporting beams, tree trunks or masts fences are often too thin, while blocks are often too thick. So wooden walls would indeed fill a new, different role.
It's a simple addition which would open many new possibilities for building.
I often hear "walls are for stone and fences are for wood". To me this seems a rather arbitrary rule, why limit oneself in such a silly way? Minecraft is all about creativity and endless possibilities, new blocks, especially something like that which does not break the aesthetic, only adds to this idea!
