Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Banner block

The Banner Block is a block that works the same as a banner but with all sides of a block. They are Crafted by. Stick, Banner, Stick Banner, ,Banner Stick, Banner, Stick. They can also have specific sides be designed or all at once in the loom. They can be lit on fire and make a wool sound when stepped on. When placed on a noteblock, They will make a kazoo noise. Banner blocks can also have a block be put inside of them. Blocks include: Tnt, Normal blocks, Anvils, chest, hoppers, Redstone repeaters/comparitor, and any thing that classifies as a placeable block. The Banner block will also retain the function of the block it has inside of it and make they same sound and durability. When a Banner Block is named, it gets saved as a new block and ID. Once it's named, It can be given by commands and is filed as a new block added to the game, so you don't lose it. I think a block like this would be great for a lot of things in minecraft. Thanks.

    I think this would be a little too complex. To be able to edit singular sides of the banner block you described the entire function of the loom would have to change. If you want to have four banners in a square like that in creative mode there is a way to recreate it. It you use the command “/give (your name) barrier” you will get a barrier block, which is an invisible block that can only be seen when your holding the block. If you place a barrier block you can place banners on all four sides of the barrier block. Since they are individual banners they can all look different. Below the barrier block you can place whatever block you want but chests won’t work since it would still be considered a block directly above the chest, and you can’t place block that are 2 blocks high like doors or armor stands.
