Since 1.14 added tons of new stuff to villages, the only village missing was a cave village. I think 1.17 would be the perfect way to add it in (and remove nitwits), because it's a cave update.
I have some ideas for the cave village, which I think will fit with Mojang's rules (more on that later).
This village can use lanterns hanging from the ceiling or on fence posts as the main light source for the village. The buildings (made with cobbled deepslate and oak wood) will all generate in the walls, like they were set in the stone, except for the cleric tower, which could generate in the middle of the village. A tree would be planted in the center, and maybe a mineshaft could be put in the village as well, with bridges and railways across the top of the cave.
All the villagers except the nitwits (HURR THE NITWITS) in this village would wear blue/brown robes, to
fit with the miner look. All the usual jobs would be here, except being recolored blue and gray. Also, a new villager could live here, called a miner. The workstation is undecided. The miner would trade things only found in caves, like ore, stone types, nitwit erasers, and maybe even a diamond for 32 emeralds. To make this trade work with Mojang's #1 rule, which is to never let us have any fun, it can only sell one a day before running out.
I know this might be too late to add into 1.17, so maybe they could add it later. If you like this post (yeah right), leave a comment and I will edit it in.
