I bought Minecraft in 2013 and I believed I was buying a full package. It was the first game I ever bought and I had so much fun playing on servers with friends. Recently I read about the ability to crossplay with friends who owned the game on Xbox and PS, I excitedly downloaded the game in order to play with friends on other consoles. Then with further reading I discovered that you cross console play was only possible with Minecraft Windows 10. Great, I bought Minecraft for my computer years ago, surely Windows 10 edition is just a free version for those that already bought the game...nope the offer ended in April 2020. Maybe people won't agree, but I feel like if you bought the Java version for your PC you shouldn't have to buy a whole other version of the game for 30 dollars to get different features. There should be a parent launcher with the Java and Windows 10 as a choice or Microsoft should bring back the offer for those who bought java before 2018. Thank you.
