Glowing Slimes

Since Minecraft's caves are finally getting an update, I think it’s time one of our cave-dwelling friends got an update too!

Glowing Slimes would be an upgrade to Minecraft’s current Slime mob. They would glow similarly to the new Glow Squid mob and would come in a variety of colors, including:

  • Red
  • Orange
  • Yellow
  • Green
  • Blue
  • Indigo
  • Violet
  • White (Rare)                                                                                                                                      Theise new Slimes could be tamed with Glowberrys to aid the Player underground by attacking whatever mobs the Player attacks similarly to wolves. Not all of the new Glowing Slimes that spawn would be tamable, only a small percentage. The Player would have to offer Glowberrys to the Slimes to see if they are interested, and then be able to tame them only if they are of that small percentage. Once tamed, they could be bred and healed with Glowberrys.

 

Imagine stumbling upon one of these majestic creatures in the wild!

 

But if you don’t keep a sharp eye out...

you might just miss the White Slime entirely!

    I like this idea! I don't know about the taming mechanics, but it would be cool to have color variation in underground slimes. Also, it will differentiate slimes from the swamps and slimes from the underground

    What if these slimes had some attraction towards ores to help the player find their way in dark caves.

    Thanks for the positive comments guys! And I like the idea of using slimes to guide the Player underground.

    I feel like as If this could work, because when you think about it, while wolves do exist, Variety and convenience is due and it would be very fitting if slimes got an Update.
