First, Tiered Brushes would be a thing. The basic brush would be found in chests at Archeological dig sites. You could upgrade it using Iron and then Diamonds. Iron brushes would reduce the rate of items breaking, allowing you to rarely dig Ancient Shards, which otherwise would ALWAYS break using a normal brush. Once you have these, you can use them to upgrade Gold gear to have the same power, but more durability. After you find diamonds, you could upgrade the Iron brush into a Diamond brush. Using it, you could find very ancient items that have existed since the beginning of time... Shattered Crystal gear and Crystal Fragments. These would be incredibly rare drops that could only appear while using a Diamond brush. The Shattered Crystal gear would be useless on its own, but combining two Crystal Fragments with a diamond would create a Prism Crystal, and you could repair the Shattered Crystal gear in a Smithing Table. This Crystal gear would be slightly less power than Diamond but have much less durability. It would be incredibly enchantable as a bonus.
