Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Lead Ore

Lead Is a new type of ore that can replace ink sacks in most recipes you can make a lead helmet that is not that good but if you put and lead helmet and a torch in a crafting table you get a mining helmet that puts a light source around the player when equiped I think adding lead to minecraft in this way would help when mining in the new caves and would make a new type of light source that I think many players would use
