Add Skis along with Mountain Update

I'm aware that Minecraft is usually not very open minded to adding features like this, however, with the upcoming Caves & Cliffs update on the way, I think that adding skis would be an amazing feature along with the new mountains. How cool would it be to travel all the way up to the top of a mountain and have the opportunity to ski all the way back down. Personally, I would implement this feature similar to the old boat mechanics (mouse position determines movement direction) and allow players to gain speed as they travel downwards. When I first thought about this idea, I immediately shot it down because of it's "non-vanilla-like" nature , although the more I think about it, I'm sure this could be implemented in such a way that it fits the style of the game perfectly. Extra Ideas: • Only works going downwards on snow/ice blocks • Powdered snow offers a slight boost • Ridable entity rather than an armour slot
