Shift on Ladders to Lock in Place Even when Containers are opened

You can already lock yourself in place by holding Shift on Ladders, but what if by simply pressing it you remain in place until you use WASD, Space, or Shift Again? This would let you access your Inventory and Containers without descending the Ladder. This would work really well with a Large Library Build or Storage Hall. Ladders would definetly be utilized much more with this Option.
