Raw copper should be usable as a blue/green dye on the new clay pots in archeology. Gives pots more personality and raw copper more use.
It wouldn't make the entire pot blue or green, but give it some vibrant colours like the patterns on carpet on llamas. Raw iron should give vibrant red patterns. Raw gold and other ores should also be usable to give different colours and patterns.
This is also historically accurate as ancient humans used malachite and azurite to decorate pots and was quite possibly how copper metal was discovered when the pots were heated. This also makes more sense than using normal dyes crafted from flowers because they would burn or discolor under heat.
