Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Magic wand

I wish magic wands were in the game. They would have decent melee attack and would shoot balls of light. You would need two blaze rods and a nether star and it would be like crafting a shovel. I hope you like this idea

    There was a lot of magic in medieval times, and Minecraft is a medieval game. 

    But magic in real life isn't good. 

    I'm not saying this is a bad idea.

    I'd say that shooting orbs of light is somewhat bland because it would give it similar behavior to arrows shot from bows. I'd say a unique wand or other magic item should create a short-ranged area of effect blast, maybe spreading out 3 or 4 blocks in a cone shape. That would make it a bit more unique, as Minecraft is currently lacking in AoE weapons, yet getting swarmed by mobs happens frequently enough that a new item to combat those situations would be useful. The nether star also already has a purpose for making beacons, so I think it should either have a different crafting recipe, be found in a new structure, or drop from a mob.

    Also a slow firing speed to make it more balanced.
