Decoration Usage of Redstone and Lapis

Redstone and lapis are used in very specific cases and not that much important for mining after some time. In addition to that they drop a lot of items and just become a useless inventory filler. My solution is that redstone and lapis should be used in decoration as well, this way they will have more usage and won't be used in just those certain cases. There could be unique decoration and building blocks made of redstone and lapis. I think that'd be really cool
