My idea is to make ore dominance dictated not only by altitude but also from random geographical locations in rare occasions. Hear me out, in the upcoming update, bigger mountains would be updated. It is known that certain minerals like emeralds are more common in high altitudes than others. But what if in rare scenarios some georgraphical areas would have abnormally more quantities of a specific resource than others regardless of altitude. For instance, a random mountain, let's say.... near the spawn is mined by the player and notices that the majority of the ores there are redstone? Or if a player mines in a large cave network and notices that there is more coal deposits there than others? Or more geodes in a specific random jungle cave.
- Induces more exploration and expeditions in search of areas with specific ore deposit dominance
- Induce excitement and surprise in caving rather than predictable generation by altitude
- Make the world richer and more characterized due to the ore dominance in some locations
- Induce interactions in multiplayer such as conflicts or contests to find mountains or cave systems with a specific ore dominance
- Make the geography stand out like how some places irl are known for unique resources
- More gameplay like stationing in a specific mountain to mine out all the abnormally high amounts of redstone in it
This phenomenon can be rare only being seen in some places around the world or be rare but also co-existing with the altitude-system.
