I am noticing that the only way to grow azaleas and moss carpet (and wheat grass) is by spreading the moss with bone meal next to dirt, stone, or other convertible blocks. This is fine, but I think you should be able to continue growing the bushes and carpet on the existing moss blocks. Say I only wanted to make a farm to grow those two items, but didn't want to continually spread the moss to do so. I think it could work like the nylium blocks from the nether. I think it would make sense, especially if I wanted to keep the other dirt or stone blocks around it intact. For example, if I were to surround one moss block with eight cobblestone, I think I should be able to grow stuff on that single block of moss.
