Why do beetroots have seeds but not carrots? It doesn't make sense. In real life, carrots and beetroots have basically identical life cycles/styles. Both carrots and beetroots:They sprout from a seed and grow up. At this point the root is ready for consumption. A tall stalk grows through the center of the plant and clusters of flowers bloom at the top. The root soon shrinks and becomes woody and inedible after the flowers bloom. It makes seeds and then dies afterward. I know, this is Minecraft, a game *gasp*. Not everything matches up exactly to real life, but they already figured out a mechanic that works for beetroots. Why would carrots be any different? They shouldn't be, and yet they are. It wouldn't be too hard to give carrots seeds the way beetroots already have seeds in the game.
