Night Block

Since there has been an introduced Metric Cube of Light in Minecraft, what about its inverse?  A block that when placed will begin turning the surrounding light levels down.  This would be great for places that you want to make darker than usually able cause of light sources that are around, or making a dark forest, or a haunted house of sorts.  This would especially be perfect as an addition alongside the warden.
