The new pot is the perfect opportunity to introduce bonsais

I know Bonsais are frequently requested, but I do think that these new clay pots are the perfect place to add them. Instead of the tiny little brick flower pots, these new larger pots would be great for bonsais - I recently went to Vietnam and all of the Buddhist temples had very old - and very large - pots with what appeared to be old bonsais cultivated in them. These larger clay archaeological pots just feel like the right place for bonsais to make their debuts in Minecraft.
