Functions are nice and everything ya know but they got a little outdated... This idea is about variables.
Players could set at the beginning of a function file how many variables players can enter and if 0 it means none. Or they just leave it out. You can then type /function [functionName] and then the variables. variables are cutted through spaces. That means the player can write the first var* and then put a space to continue with the second var if needed.
*var=variable
This would open so much possibilities for creators and addons. F.e. If u'd do an World Edit for Mcbe you would have to create 1 file for every single minecraft block. The problem: It would be that much files that mc wouldnt even be able to load anymore. Variables would make that easily possible. players could just do /function set (block/1var)
Variables could make SO MUCH possible! Autocomplete functions where players dont have to write out player names. It makes it possible for players to enter values, names, simply ANY data for the function.
The possibilities - infite
If its custom Tp, Autocomplete, Advanced World Edit.. These are just very simple ideas and the key of an variable would push the addon community extremly and would basicly bring a technical explosion of advancement!
Vars could be then set in the commands using like a few characters. f.e. #var1# that way players could do smth like /setblock ~ ~ ~ #var1#. (Just an simple example)
And I think any commander can agree with this!
Now have a great day! ;)
