Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

New combat method: Shield Smash

This would give you a new ability, and balance out combat. If you are blocking with a shield and you try to attack, you will instead smash with your shield. This attack would stun the receiver and do some damage, but it would also add a cooldown on all weapons and the shield of the attacker, kind of like with ender pearls. This would balance combat by making sure that you couldn't corner someone and keep attacking them, and would be least effective against undead mobs.

    perhaps instead of "stunning" enemies it could reset their attack cooldown. If it did zero damage and started your weapon cooldown then that would provide a reason to use the sword/shield set as opposed to the axe/shield set.
