In 1.17, we got Copper for the first time. I believe this could be the start of a second tier system if Minecraft. It would include Copper, Tin, Bronze, and Enderium. Bronze would be made by combining Copper and Tin, in the same way Netherite combines with diamond. Tin should be more common than diamond, but generate in a way where veins cluster in groups, with clusters being potentially hundreds of blocks away from the each other, and Enderium should only rarely generate on the underside of end islands.
Copper, Tin, Bronze, and Enderium should have lesser stats than their main line counterparts (Gold, Iron, Diamond, and Netherite), but should offer certain non-numerical advantages for the player in the form of exclusive enchantments and passive effects like Repulsion: gives all hostile mobs a small passive knockback effect, , Enderium tools passively glow, Enderium stuff has unique teleportation enchantments, (extra reach, Enderium plated pearls don't cause damage, you cant lose tools/armor to the void, etc.) or when wearing Copper you can't be damaged by lightning, but instead it charges you like a creeper and gives you buffs, etc.
