I really don't understand the problem with stealth. Most people have never even tried stealth in Minecraft to decide whether it'd be fun or not. Stealth could definitely be one of the most fun types of gameplay we've had. It has a lot of fear and nerve-rack associated with it, and it really brings back that feeling of the first night in Minecraft. It's not like you'd bother moving very quickly when you're in the Deep Dark; I personally don't mind sneaking and moving slowly at all if I'm doing something fun and engaging (like trying to loot chests from a mysterious structure without dying). Minecraft needs to have a variety of gameplay, and since the game lets you rush through almost every aspect of it, it's definitely great to have an aspect of the game where you need to be extremely careful in exchange for extremely unique rewards. It definitely fits with the theme and vibe of the deep underground and makes it very unique from my perspective. Having a way to avoid stealthing, even if it is "extremely late-game", will absolutely kill that fun out of the Deep Dark experience, making it like looting a Shipwreck at worst or defeating the Ender Dragon at best. A lot of people would use the easy method even if it kills the fun for them. If you really don't want to stealth, just avoid the Deep Dark as a whole. If you really want the loot but still don't want to stealth for some reason, just play Peaceful.
