Lush Caves generate by Spreading (was: How lush caves should generate)

I had a brilliant idea on how lush caves should generate! When a world is created, azalea trees spawn with one hanging azalea root poking down into the caves. As the player spends time in the world, the original block spreads to other blocks transforming them to their "Lush" counterparts, or leaving them as they are. Eventually, the lush caves will be a full biome. I think this is a great way to make azalea trees really the "source" of life in the lush caves!

I love this idea. However I do worry about my computers frying and the fact that this might disrupt the balance of the biomes.
