Leads can be attached to blocks without a mob

Just what it says on the tin. Holding a lead and clicking on a fencepost (maybe even other kinds of blocks?) and then attaching the other end to another post/block, no rabbits or chickens required. Maybe even just a new rope item, purely for aesthetics in builds. Basically Id like to see what is being done by hiding a small leashed mob out of sight and attaching the other end to a post, but without the need to use a mob at all. Rope bridges. Telephone lines. Velvet rope to cordon off a VIP area. All without the incessant clucking or meeping. Is that so bad?
