Gargoyles were once well basically a drain pipe in medieval times for castles eventually they just became decor then nowadays we often view gargoyles like gnomes, like little winged protectors in fantasy. My idea Is a cave biome where bats spawn more frequently but it would have its own unique mob the gargoyle which would be hostile to the player and undead mobs. It would occasionally attack spiders for food they should be 1.5 blocks tall and fly like a big slow bat to move they would attack with a stone axe but if unarmed they will attack like a phantom. They could have as many hearts as a creeper but have natural armor equal to leather armor. They would stop attacking the player if they were holding either some kind of fruit (apples or berries of some kind) or spider eyes they would not be tamable but they would become neutral to the player that fed them they could be bred with fermented spider eyes can't wear armor but can hold shield if given one. They prefer to stay around stone and will never stray too far from open stone as their skin is meant to be camouflage with it. I think players could feed them then transport them via minecart to their builds to be defenders but if it's been a while since the player fed them they will once again be hostile. (As for their drops. They will have a chance to drop) leather, apples, melons, berries, spider eyes, mushrooms, and they're stone axes. Oh and bats will be drawn to them like they're the leaders of bat kind. Thank you.
