Right now, armor's only use is protecting you. Before you go saying, "That's why it exists! " please listen to me. I'm thinking, what if it did other things too? Leather armor could make you float for a bit before sinking (in water.) Gold already keeps Piglins neutral. Iron, chainmail, and diamond would make you fall faster. Netherite would (being magnetic) stick you to any metal-based blocks. This would mean if you were within a 5-block radius, you'd get pulled to it (even if they're in the air!) You could walk while stuck to a block, but at a sneaking pace. If you took the armor off, they're unique properties would go away until you put it back on.
