I think you should add more flower diversity, both increasing the colours of existing flowers and making new flower types, for example specific shrubs, daffodils, etc.
It would really help make the world feel more alive and immersive, and give players more options for building gardens without having to use mods, which are often second rate or don't have a vanilla feel.
It could add variation for builders who enjoy the creative aspects of Minecraft, rare flowers could provide incentive for players who enjoy the adventure aspect of Minecraft, and breeding would add detail for players who enjoy using mechanics.
Flower breeding mechanics or rare flowers would be interesting, and would give players a reason to explore more of the terrain. Witches could even occasionally drop special flowers, perhaps some could have a special effect when eaten, or could add an enchantment-like effect on the honey bees produce. I personally would really enjoy finding large bluebell or snowdrop patches in forests, that perhaps only bloom occasionally.
It could really help raise awareness about the impacts of losing diverse wildflower meadows to grass, huge wheat fields and the dangers of overusing pesticides and weedkillers. It would also raise awareness about the plethora of rare, potentially medicinal plants we are losing to rainforest destruction. Additionally, it could make the game more marketable to people who enjoy other cute games such as animal crossing, and the general cottagecore community.
