There's one big problem: Bedrock players, which is the majority of players playing Minecraft, don't have access to these mods! Bedrock add-ons seem really rudimentary and tend to replace things instead of adding new stuff. Also, mods tend to be poorly made and may crash the game.
There's a worrying trend in Mojang's responses in that, if they think a mod has done it, they won't add it to the base game. As more and more mods appear, it'll only limit Mojang's options further. If an idea in a mod is very popular, and if it fits the game well enough, why not add something similar to the base game?
Please don't limit Minecraft like so, and feel free to take inspiration from popular mods, they're a culmination of things people have always wanted in Minecraft. If Minecraft is too stagnant, other competitors will eventually be more desirable than Minecraft. Be more daring with updates, and feel free to ask the community (such as youtube, reddit, twitter) if an idea is good enough.
