This is a good idea. Clouds are purely cosmetic, so having a slider for them won't be game-breaking at all, and would allow for a lot more flexibility with builds. After all, you can totally disable clouds in the visual settings. I think that (post-1.18) the slider should range from Y-levels 64 to 320, with the default height being 192 or something close to that.

Yes... But imagine looking down from one of those new mountains, and you see the cloud-wrapped world beneath you, and you feel like it's an entirely different world...

I think it should be in the dimension type folder

    Edit: It is now

This is what we've needed for a long time. I was really annoyed when they changed the cloud height for 2 reasons:

    1) I built a structure whose aesthetic was dependent on the clouds being present at that specific level.

    2) I built a different structure that I deliberately put above cloud level.

And now I have two problems, as the cloud height is no longer where I need it for the first structure, and now the cloud height is directly in the way of the structure I intended to build above it, specifically with clouds interfering with my primary operating layer. We are talking tens of thousands of blocks of walkable space, now entirely obstructed by a cloud height change I didn't ask for.

Considering clouds are purely aesthetic, there's no reason not to have an adjustable cloud height option.
