the molten magma should slowly become lava again if it's placed above y = 0, but you can keep it by putting it in a cauldron, if the molten magma is in the caudron , you still take damage if you are close to it.

If molten magma is in the nether, then netherite items should still survive in it, if not that will defeat the whole point of netherite.

If it's in the Nether than it shouldn't be very common down there, just not rare, and it wouldn't be in the big lava pools, otherwise netherite will just be a waste to use in the Nether. But it being below y=0 would be great as it would add a new challenge to deep underground,as well as make it more understandable about Minecraft having a core!ish...Corish. Since the world is infinite...

But I love this idea! Maybe Molten Magma would also with water create glowing magma, which would deal x2 the damage of normal magma and emit light too!

Future volcanologist here, and here's what I have to say:

    PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!!!

That's all I have to say. Thank you for suggesting this. :)

If it was used under y=0, make sure lava can still spawn naturally, for those looking for lava aquifers!
