    The idea behind the Wraith is simple. Add another hostile mob that is intended to keep players on their toes in caverns, especially Deepslate Caverns. These mobs are meant to be terrifying, they're meant to be durable, and they're meant to drive players away. In my initial post, I didn't really detail a lot of their gameplay, since I wanted to build them up as an interesting mob, but below is how they function:

    • Wraiths have the highest health value of any non-boss mob at 200 (or 100 hearts)
    • Wraiths are a very slow moving mob, as they move slightly faster than a walking player.
    • Wraiths have a slow attack, but deal a severe 20 hearts worth of damage, making them the most powerful non-boss mob to fight in the game, beating the Warden.
    • Wraiths also have a charge attack if the player gets too far away, and it'll deal only 15 hearts of damage, which matches the Warden's strength.
    • Wraiths have the ability to jump upwards of 15 blocks high, though the time it takes for them to lift off is slow.
    • Wraiths are particularly persistent, but very rarely spawn even in areas they're supposed to. You'd have to be extremely unlucky for one of them to spawn.
    • Wraiths can be warded off by placing down Candles, Soul Torches or Soul Lanterns.

    Their drop seems a bit bad for such a hard mob. For example it could drop enchanted books or a trophy item.

    Just why? There is just the Warden, and it's enough. If we have another mov that can one shot us, none would go exploring caves
