We have to fill the deep dark with some creepy life. We need more mobs.
We already have zombies, witches, skeletons, why not vampires??? They could specifically spawn only in the
-y deep dark depths. More specifically they could be found most often in dripstone caverns, hiding amongst the stalagtites hanging from the ceiling.
These vampires have various attacks:
1. If they are spooked while sleeping or recouping from an attack, they might knock loose a few stalagtites.
2. They may land & run towards you quickly and bite unless you block them with a shield(or garlic?) & make them fly away to recoup, should they bite you you will loose a couple shanks off of your hunger bar.
3. Lastly perhaps they could summon a small flock of the current "old-school" bats to blind you or deal about as much damage as standing on magma blocks for a few seconds.
Drops? Somebody help me here, maybe fangs that can provide you with an antidote for poisoning or a new potion of satiation (temporarily immune from using hunger)? Perhaps a cape drop like a slow fall version of the elytra but w/ less control or only being able to float down?
Bats~~~~
Bats deserve a dedicated mob, perhaps a new kind of bat that does not replace the older style, instead spawns only in the deep dark in the swiss cheese caves, the lava caves, or deepslate mineshafts.
They are rarely friendly, appeased by the sound of amethysts and may be tamed with glowberries and will help distract the Warden by circling or nipping.
